Blue Belt Drills:
Pop Top
From a double shoulder grab (both hand on partner’s shoulder) hook both index fingers at the jaw bone, thumbs on chin, pull them in and push them out.
Nose Up
From a head lock (one head around your partner’s neck and the other coming from underneath and locking together) use your inside arm (the one closest to the attacker) and bring it over their shoulder putting two fingers (index and middle) under their nose pushing up around and down.
Butt Out (Blue senior only)
From a double wrist grab from behind squat down a little and bend your elbows in, turn towards your attacker and “dive” with your arms thrust them out of their grip and shot your arms up (like superman) for the final twist
Shoulder Lock
From a single shoulder grab (one hand straight across on partner’s shoulder) same shoulder same hand comes up at the wrist in a V shape, then your hand will grab the attacker's hand and you push up on the wrist. Bring the attacker’s hand to your other shoulder and hold it there same should same hand, make a fist with your other free hand and push down on the upper arm of the attacker till they are firmly on the ground. Do not let go till they are on the ground, do not drop.
Down U go
From a straight across-wrist grab, grab their wrist and push up (make a door) and walk through your opening till you are behind them and put the attacker in an arm bar (press their arm against their back and slightly turn move the wrist/hand up this will knock their grip loose) you will hold their arm with the hand they originally grabbed and use your other hand to find the elbow pressure point and pull your partner down to the ground directly to your side. Do not let go till they are fully on the ground.
Snake Lock (Blue senior only)
From a diagonal wrist grab (not straight across but going diagonally to the same hand right grabbing right or left grabbing left) turn/twist your wrist up over the attacker’s wrist and quickly “slither up their arm” till you are at their shoulder and their elbow is below your armpit. Bring your other hand and grab their should and grab your own forearm with the first hand that moved. Once you have the lock tight pull them down and drag them till they are fully lowered (this one will travel a bit) and do not release till they are flat on the ground.
